Walmart Canada removes hockey fan T-shirts over ‘sexist’ descriptions – National
Walmart Canada has pulled ladies’s T-shirts after receiving criticism that the product descriptions on its web site had been sexist.

One description, flagged by Fb person Laura Elizabeth, describes an intern who has “dated half the hockey staff” and is thought contained in the locker room.

In an announcement to World Information, Walmart Canada defined the shirts have now been eliminated and had been on the web site by way of a “third-party vendor.”
“The descriptions accompanying these tees don’t characterize Walmart’s values and don’t have any place on the Walmart.ca web site,” the assertion learn.
“We’ve got instantly eliminated the merchandise and are working with the vendor to handle the descriptions. We sincerely apologize for any unintended offence this has brought about our Canadian clients.”
Daryl Jones, who’s an investor in Sauce Hockey, informed World Information that the corporate regrets the descriptions. Jones added that the shirts and descriptions had been created in 2011, earlier than the corporate’s present administration was in place.
