Stolen plane crashes near Seattle
A person has reportedly stolen an Air Q400 airplane from Seattle’s worldwide airport on a dramatic unauthorised flight chased by fighter planes earlier than crashing on a close-by island, studies say.
The stolen plane from Alaska Airways sister provider Horizon is believed to have crashed on Ketron Island close to Seattle.
Some studies are saying the airplane thief was a mechanic for the airline who joked with site visitors controllers throughout the brief flight as F15s chased him that he was going to jail.
Alaska Airways has tweeted, “We’re conscious of an incident involving an unauthorised takeoff of a Horizon Air Q400.
“We consider there aren’t any passengers on board. Extra data as we study extra.”
The stolen Air Q400 took off with out authorisation from Seattle’s SeaTac airport, which was in lock down with all flights halted.
One man wrote on Twitter, “Some dude stole a airplane from #Seatac (Allegedly), did a loop-the-loop, ALMOST crashed into #ChambersBay, then crossed in entrance of our celebration, chased by fighter jets and subsequently crashed. Bizarre instances.”
Morgan Chesky, a reporter for KOMO Information, wrote, “Per JBLM supply: After being contacted by F-15’s, stolen airplane started to nostril dive, crashing in north Pierce County.”
Horizon has roughly 4000 workers and serves greater than 45 cities in Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Canada.
