London, Ont. company that makes LAVs for Saudi Arabia lays off 37 workers

As the federal government of Canada responds to rising calls to cancel a multi-billion greenback contract to promote gentle armoured automobiles (LAVs) to Saudi Arabia, the corporate supplying the automobiles has introduced one other spherical of unrelated layoffs.

Normal Dynamics Land Methods-Canada says the 37 salaried layoffs in London, Ont. are the results of a piece forecast and are a part of a standard cycle of labor. A spokesperson stresses there is no such thing as a connection to latest occasions that the federal government of Canada is addressing.

The vast majority of the positions had been in engineering.
